✨ PSBBN: A Stunning New PS2 Boot Menu! ✨
A new project is bringing the Japanese-only PlayStation Broadband Navigator (PSBBN) menu to life on your PS2! Here’s what you need to know:
Beautiful Interface: This isn’t just a functional upgrade – it’s a gorgeous* menu for launching games directly from your PS2’s hard drive.
HDD & POPStarter Support: Fully compatible with running games from an internal hard drive and* POPStarter for PS1 emulation!
- Packed with Features: Includes dedicated PS1 partition setup, MiniDisc support, translated versions of original PSBBN software, and more!
- Linux Installation Required: This is the biggest hurdle – you’ll need to use Linux to install it. The author suggests a simpler installer could be built by the community.
- Network Loading Not Yet Supported: While it can launch OpenPS2 Loader, it doesn’t support network loading games like RetroNAS currently.
- MemCardPro Support: Works with MemCardPro, but bypasses the PSBBN menu – boots directly into FreeMcBoot.
Check out the project & support the dev!
It’s a bit involved to set up, but the results look incredible! Definitely one to watch for PS2 enthusiasts! 🤩
