🔥 MiSTer FPGA News & Updates – April 2024 🔥
Hey everyone! Here’s a rundown of the latest and greatest happening in the MiSTer FPGA world:
- New Cores & Updates:
CD-i Core Released: Officially available now! No Digital Video Cartridge support yet*.
- Sega Saturn & Sega ST-V: Saturn got a big update with 3D pad support and bug fixes. The ST-V (Saturn-based arcade hardware) core is now officially available!
- Super Cassette Vision: A new core for this quirky 80s console is officially released!
Arcade Action: New beta cores for Return to Ishtar and Genpei, plus a beta for Metro Cross and Laser Ghost (Patreon access only). Development continues on Tutankham*.
- Software Improvements:
- Downloader 2.2: Major speed boost with a native binary! Lots of other refinements too.
- Update All 2.3.1: Faster updates thanks to the new downloader binary. Now supports CD-i, Pokémon Mini, and Super Cassette Vision BIOS.
- TransFS: A new tool to manage your ROM library without extracting files. Still in early development.
- Zaparoo TUI: A text-based user interface is being developed for the Zaparoo core.
- MiSTer Cleanup Script: A community-created script to help you clean up unused cores and games (use with caution!).
- Hardware News:
- MiSTer MultiSystem 2: Preorders are open for this all-in-one MiSTer console!
- Commodore PET 2001: Test build now supports disk drives.
